Help us support Black girls towards healing and liberation.
Join me and help make a difference in the lives of black girls!
Black girls and young women have been on the frontlines of fighting for racial and gender equality, but our stories and lives are often overlooked. Until now. Help us continue to uplift the stories of black girls and walk in the path towards freedom that our ancestors and those who have marched for racial and gender liberation, like Ida B. Wells, Rosa Parks, and Oluwatoyin Salau have done.
Read this Chicago Tribune Article about how A Long Walk Home supports the leadership of Black girls and women in the racial justice movement.
Your support will help us continue to provide black girls with programming focused on art, healing, and justice. A donation from you helps us continue supporting black girls with virtual learning, individual and group counseling, stipends, art supplies and healing kits during this the midst of a global pandemic and racial uprising. To date ALWH had given out over 20,000 in emergency funds, stipends, art supplies and gifts cards to Black girls and their families during this pandemic.
