Dear Friends and Family,

In the past few months the scope and the scale of sexual violence in this country has been made clear to people who may not have known about it before. With the rise of #metoo over the past several months, we have heard the voices of more survivors in industries all over this country—Hollywood, politics, the media, the tech industry, corporate America, the church and more. As these survivors share their stories we are reminded that gender-based violence is painfully pervasive, and that the stories of survivors help us to open our eyes to this worldwide problem and more importantly do something about it. That is exactly what we do here at A Long Walk Home, where we believe in putting #survivorsfirst and we have been doing so for almost 20 years.

Now more than ever I am reminded of the importance of tour mission to use the arts to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to end violence against women and girls. Thank you for generously giving your support to us over the years. Your generosity has enabled us to make art and reduce violence in the lives of girls and young women, their families, and communities all over the country.

On this #GivingTuesday will you partner with us and give financially to support this work? We ask for your continued commitment to help us build a safer and more just world for our most vulnerable citizens-black girls and young women. You can help me by giving so that I can reach my goal of raising another $3000 by the end of this year. That's almost 100 day for the next month!

Our supporters have become part of a network of people who donate their time, talent, and money to foster gender and racial justice. We thank them for their gifts and we are honored to put their concern into action.

Love,

Régine
