In the backdrop of the recent presidential election and as I continue to meet girls and women affected by gender-based violence, I am reminded of the importance of the work we do at A Long Walk Home where we use the arts to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to end violence against women and girls.
We need you. When you support A Long Walk Home, Inc., you support creative and innovative programs to end violence against girls and women. For example, your gift can help sponsor college students and youth who want to prevent sexual and dating violence, support schools to keep underserved neighborhoods safe, and help sexual assault survivors receive long-term counseling.
If I wasn't involved in A Long Walk Home, I would not know the extent to which girls in middle school and high school are affected by gender-based violence. Now that I know, help me make a difference.
